Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy explains what information is involved when you use myipaddresss.com (the "site") and how it is handled. In short: we don't run accounts, ads or tracking scripts, and the tools work in your browser.
Information we collect
We do not ask for your name, email or any other personal details to use the site. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies.
Like any website, the servers that host the site may record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify or profile you.
How the tools work
To show you results, your browser contacts public third-party services directly. Those services receive your IP address and the query you made, as they would for any request, and are governed by their own privacy policies:
- ipify — detects your public IPv4 and IPv6 address.
- ipwhois.io (with GeoJS as a fallback) — IP location and network data.
- Cloudflare DNS (with Google Public DNS as a fallback) — DNS records and reverse DNS over HTTPS.
- bash.ws (with ipleak.net as a backup) — the DNS leak test.
- flagcdn.com — country flag images.
The browser & privacy check reads information from your browser locally and does not send it to us.
Information stored on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device, for two things:
- Your light or dark theme preference.
- A short list of your recent IP lookups, which you can clear at any time from the lookup page.
You can remove this data by clearing your browser's site data.
Contacting us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we don't share them with anyone else.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
